Joe Orsolini, a Certified Financial Planner and Certified College Planning Specialst, will introduce three key areas of opportunity to reduce the overall cost of a college education. His lecture will focus on strategies to maximize need-based financial aid eligibility, target the right colleges for merit-based financial aid, and exploit tax-saving opportunities.

Next to your home, your vehicle is your most valuable possession. But few people do much to protect it. You can minimize the chances of having your car stolen by taking a few precautionary measures. Thieves are lazy; if  your car is too much trouble to steal a they will find an easier one.

For information on how to safeguard you car, attend the Auto Theft Prevention Workshop and pick up some great tips.

Some of the topics to be addressed include:

• Keeping it Real Program – former auto thieves demonstrate and discuss their craft.
• Illinois State Police explain how to secure your vehicle and make it less susceptible to crime.
• Theft prevention devices: how effective are they?

Several anti-theft devices will be raffled off to attendees. Light refreshments will be served.
