The 2017 Seed & Plant Swap
Good things happen when ECA members participate by sharing…
This spring the ECA and Edgebrook Branch Library partnered to offer the first annual Seed and Plant Swap. Avid gardeners and first-timers eager to take the plunge got together, shared some tips, asked for advice, and took home a variety of seeds, seedlings, and plants.
Jeannine Tiesch-Ramirez, ECA member and one of our favorite librarians, was a driving force in the Seed Exchange and she shares the results:
These are all from my garden. The potatoes (seed potatoes purchased from Seed Saver’s Exchange and shared), carrots (seeds purchased from Seed Saver’s Exchange and shared) and tomatoes (Sun gold and red cherry plants, grown from seeds or seedlings nurtured by ECA directors) were from the Edgebrook Library’s Spring 2017 Seed and Plant Swap.
