2012 – July 4th Posters: Let Freedom Ring!

Congratulations Winners & Honorable Mentions of the ECA’s 2012 July 4th Poster Contest.

Over 300 students in Edgebrook, St. Mary in the Woods, and Wildwood schools participated in the contest. Guided by their teachers, they produced many delightful posters based on the theme of “Let Freedom Ring”. Here are the winning entries.

Grand Prize Winner

Grace
Grade 3

My picture is about Fourth of July fireworks and the flag.

Grand Prize Winner of the 2012 Poster Contest

1st Place Winner

Antonio
Grade 3

I drew this because our main animal is an eagle with our flag.

First Place Winner of the 2012 Poster Contest

2nd Place Winner

Caroline
Grade 3

I think the Declaration of Independence signals freedom because it is something that was signed for our freedom.  I drew the liberty bells because the theme was Let Freedom Ring, and the first thing that popped into my head – bells!  I drew the American flag because it is a symbol to our country and to all the people who live here.   That is what Let Freedom Ring means to me.

Second Place Winner of the 2012 Poster Contest

3rd Place Winner

Jack
Grade 1

This is at night on the 4th of July.

Third Place Winner of the 2012 Poster Contest

Take me to the honorable mentions

A big ECA thank you to all the students, teachers and principals who participated.
